Holiday Dresses for those Naughty and Nice

Naughty and Nice by T Brucculeri

The shades light and dark have been battling one another for centuries. You will always see in pop culture, the girl with the golden hair is the good one and the girl with the jet black hair is the bad one, ie, Disney stepmothers and witches (with the exception of sweet, dark-haired porcelain skinned Snow White, of course). We’ve made a list and checked it twice, so here are just a few reasons why it’s nice to be sugary sweet, but also why it’s so nice to be naughty.

Terani Couture can do no wrong with their sugary sweet collection of sequined dresses and gowns, which are right on trend this season. Check out this sequined evening gown offered in Gold, Kiwi, and Fuschia from their Terani Couture Prom collection. Perfect for an elegant black tie Holiday gala or New Year’s bash, your look will be the most inspired for spreading holiday cheer!

Do some merrymaking in this divine and delightful frock that is also from the Terani Couture Prom collection. Embellished with carefully placed stones and an impeccably constructed sea of sequins are all over the cocktail dress. The one shoulder is simple in construction, but also heavily embellished. Available for sale on MissesDressy in heavenly tones like Kiwi, Gold, Silver, and Orange.

Nicole Bakti has the right idea with her sleek and shiny cocktail dress this year, coming in shades of light and dark like vixen Black, snowy White, Grecian Gold, or prissy Purple, you actually have a choice of what side of the street you want to play on. However with Bakti’s choice of daring cuts, a convertible back, and above the knee hemline, in any color you’ll look stylish and ready to party into 2012.

Rock out at your New Year’s Eve party in this daring and dreamy cut-out cocktail dress from the Jovani Cocktail collection. The bustier style top features carefully placed cuts showing off a super sheer underlay of chiffon for a touch of modesty. A keyhole cutout shows off your bare skin for a stroke of naughty. The frilly skirt screams fun and girly with its flare layered tufts of tulle. Or step to either the light or dark side while wearing this made from heaven cocktail dress also from the Jovani Cocktail collection. The dress is available in nude and black, you’ll be able to choose your side—or buy both—the fabric is a sheer overlay of chiffon coming in both colors and the under skirt is a comfy and rich satin. Heavily embellished with sequins at the high neckline and bodice evokes an essence of fun and your up to the minute fashion sense, and then the sequins gradually gradient with just a sprinkling of sparkle. Puffy short sleeves are made of sheer chiffon, and the above the knee hemline gives off a flirtatious vibe. This dress is extremely delicate looking, but don’t be surprised to party hard while wearing it!

Tony Bowls is synonymous with creating whimsical dresses and gowns with a touch naughtiness. His Shorts collection is chock full of cocktail length dresses made more for those naughty and nice. A sultry mix of sophistication and devilishly dreamy adornments make this sequin embellished little number a top pick for Holiday dresses this year. It has all of the right embellishments that are on trend for the 2011-12 Holiday season like all-over sequins, sparkly rhinestones, and a frilly shouldered asymmetrical neckline. Go heavy on the eye shadow and liner with this one! Available on MissesDressy in only black with a touch of silver, this cocktail dress is definitely for those eager to travel to their naughty side. Now, doesn’t it feel good to be bad?!

Twilight Wedding: 8 things we love!

102111_breaking_dawn_wedding_04111021135256

Whether you have or you haven’t seen the movie Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (part 1), we have to admit, the wedding scene was lovely! Here are the 8 things we love about it…

The Make Up

The light make up highlights the natural beauty of the bride. Whether it’s the outward appearance or the happiness that radiates from her heart, but most women look glowing on their happy day.
To get Bella’s make up, choose natural colors such as grayish-brownish for your eyes, and light coral for your cheeks and lips. The appearance of her skin that looks clear and glowing is the key. You can get results like this by applying bone highlights on the nose, forehead, and cheekbones to give the effect of radiant healthy-looking skin.
The Hair

For hair, Bella choose braided updo with messy style, leaving a few strands fall out. Bella loves everything simple, therefore she replaced tiara or crown with a hair clip tucked in the back.

The Dress

Wedding dress is one of the most critical things in the appearance of a bride. No wonder most of the brides-to-be money willing to spend thousands of dollars to get the “perfect” dress. Bella chose a dress designed by Carolina Herrera. It looks simple from the front but has a sexy and beautiful lace details on the back. Simply lovely!

MissesDressy.com has plenty of gorgeous and unique wedding dresses that will take your breathe away…

The Shoes

Usually Manolo Blahnik is synonymous with Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City, but this time Bella did not want to miss it. The shoes called “Swan Embellished Satin Pumps”, is a pair of white high-heeled shoes with crystal-beaded vine appliqué angled across vamp and outer side.

The Ring

When Edward proposed to Bella, he gave her an oval-shaped ring filled with sparkling gem stones around it.

The Wedding

Edward and Bella chose white for their wedding theme. Interwoven white flowers hanging combined with wooden chairs and white flowering plants that adorn the left and right side of the path to make wedding looks very united with nature. Breathtakingly beautiful!

The Cake

For the wedding cake, they chose a white tiered cake decorated with leaves and white flowers that match the wedding theme and decorations.
You can take inspiration wedding cake with 5 tiers wedding cake like this, where you can choose the cake with different flavors for each level. Let people have enough taste of your wedding J

The Family

Each wedding will be great with the presence of loved ones. The bride will choose a relative or beloved person to be the bridesmaids while the groom’s closest appoint people to be groomsmen. At the wedding of Edward and Bella, the Cullen family come up with black suit and white tie for the male while the women wore gowns of various style with a touch of purple either in material or sash. Gorgeous!

Red Carpet Top Looks: 2011 American Music Awards

pizap.com10.373515185434371231322068637198

After analyzing the numerous red carpet outfits our favorite artists wore to the 2011 American Music Awards, I have finally come up with my Top 5 Best Dressed!

Check each one out, and if you’d like to snag the style, you are in luck because I’ve picked one dress right out of our catalog here at Misses Dressy! Here they are:

5.) Nicki Minaj in Oscar de la Renta

The ensemble, taken out of Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2012 collection, spells romantic chic for Ms. Minaj.  With its black lace and emerald silk/taffeta combination, this dress surely matches eccentricity with elegance!  So if you’re feeling like exploring the color emerald, try this dress by Morell Maxie (code: 13495):

4.) Taylor Swift in Reem Acra

Although I think this dress from Reem Acra’s Spring 2012 collection isn’t really age-appropriate for Taylor Swift (it kinda makes her look older than she really is), it’s still on my list because it’s simply fabulous!  Gold sequined dresses such as this one have been around red carpet events this year,  worn by top celebs like Kim Kardashian and Kate Hudson.
Channel your inner A-list movie star persona in these dresses from Scala Couture (codes P4087 and 47304 respectively), found right here at our catalog:

3.) Jenny McCarthy in Victoria Beckham

Jenny McCarthy is looking classy during the awards night wearing this purple short sleeve bell dress from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2011 collection.  Her look is my top 3 because it’s youthful but elegant, and it reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw’s fuschia Oscar de la Renta dress (my personal favorite).
Channel this funny lady’s girly number in these dresses from Carmen Marc Valvo (code: P10891) and Hale Bob (code: P12869), respectively:
2.) Heidi Klum in Gile Deacon and Katy Perry in Vivenne Westwood
It’s a tie between the supermodel’s futuristic number and the pop diva’s Asian-inspired ensemble for the top 2 position in my list!  The former, taken from British designer Giles Deacon’s Spring 2012 collection, features an intricate cutout design, reminiscent of the craftwork.  The latter is a white sequined side-split dress with a Chinese print.
I put these two fab numbers in one position because together they represent the contrast between the past (Katy’s dress) and the future (Heidi’s dress).
Channel Katy Perry’s signature flirty femininity in this Tulle Taffeta dress from Tony Bowls Le Gala (complete with flower details!) or Heidi Klum’s fashion-forward mini dress also from Tony Bowls (Shorts):
1.) Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad Couture
J.Lo was the ultimate queen of that night clad in this luscious lace gown from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2011 collection.  Now back at the top of her game, La Lopez stuns Tinseltown with a booming comeback career and a fiercely fit figure!
Unleash your inner dramatic diva in these black lace gowns from Jovani, all available here at Misses Dressy:
Now you’ve seen the celebs and my dress suggestions–so which one are you getting? ;)

Romantic Goddess

romeo

Remember The Notebook, or Romeo and Juliet? The movies which tell us the wonderful story of romance… We are inspired by the love story in those movies, therefore we present our version of Romantic Goddess style this time. Enjoy!

The idea of our “Romantic Goddess” style is to look stunning with nude make up and wavy hair do that fall on the shoulders. Lace dresses, nude or pale colors of dresses give the impression of romantic and vintage.

You can get a “nude look” make up by using natural tones. Remember, the art of “nude look” make up is wearing invisible make up.
So, try to examine the color of your skin tone and use a foundation that matches with your complexion. Also use the natural colors eye shadow with brown tones and nude color lipstick.
Nude make up is like the saying “Less is more”, beautiful in a very simple way!

Want to know how to get summer wavy hairstyle? Follow these easy steps.

Start by using a curling iron on the bottom of your hair and then split the curls by using your fingers to get naturally wavy hair effect. Take a section of hair from the top of your head and back-brush it until you achieve height and volume. Then, pull some hair from the right and left, secure it at the back of your head with a hair clip or bobby pins. Freeze the poof with extra-hold hair spray.
If you want a milkmaid braids, you can braid your hair before pinning the side of the top of your hair. Here’s how…

Milkmaid braids hair do is very unique and feminine. No wonder it is very popular. Some of the Hollywood actresses like to style their hair with this braid for the red carpet event.

You can style it in so many ways, you can braid your hair to the side, and then tie it up. You can also tie your hair to the back and formed a bun by using some hair piece that has been braided. Aha!
