She’s not only sexy but also sophisticated and elegant. Rosie has now entered the list of Hollywood actresses with the best performance. Let’s check out her style…

She is often seen wearing different dresses in nude color or minimalist pieces. However, she occasionally choose dresses with bright colors or  glamorous shiny details. To make this look works, make sure the make up, hair do, and accessories are simple and minimalist.

7 MUST HAVE items (in your purse)

7 must have items

Although we think we have prepared everything perfectly, usually there are always things that make us panic when we’re enjoying the excitement of a party. Those things are usually not far from the small problems that arise from the dress we wear or other things that can interfere with our appearance or confident. To solve it all, it will help if you bring these 7 important items in your purse to “rescue” yourself :)

1. Instant Stain Remover or Wipes
These two should not be missed. Instant Stain Remover helps to remove the spill of drinks or food on your beautiful dress, while wipes help to remove the sticky feel of the sweet drinks and clean the stains or dirt on your shoes immediately.

2. Safety Pins
This is also one of the most essential of “Things To Bring“. It can help to close broken zipper on your dress, or missing buttons, or even to tie back the broken necklace.

3. Transparent Nail Polish (top coat)
If you wear stockings or tights to the party, this thing must be taken with you. Fine lines that suddenly make their own debut in the stockings or tights that caused by sharp objects scratching will certainly ruin your look. Immediately take a small bottle of transparent nail polish (top coat) into your clutch and apply right where the lines appear. Amazingly, it can also help to glue the buttons back!

4. Rubber Eraser
Never skip a party without dancing… Sometimes when we get too excited at the party, we let loose and dance the night away. Extreme movement will possibly cause the cushion-earring-backs to fall or lose. It’s a big no-no to crawl to find it in the middle of a party, don’t you think? This time, you can rely on rubber eraser to save your day. Cut it small to replace the cushion-earring-backs for a while. Problem solved!

5. Paper Soap
Your zipper suddenly stuck? Do not worry, ladies! Take a piece of paper soap and gently rub it on where the zipper stuck. Within seconds, the zipper can be pulled back completely.

6. Fashion Tape
If you want to wear sexy dresses like a deep-V-neck dress without wanting to let any “accident”  display your assets, make sure the piece fits your body perfectly. If necessary, tape it with the Fashion Tape to prevent wardrobe malfunction. Make sure you bring extra tape in your the clutch, just in case…

7. Band Aids
If your shoe is hurting your feet or if you want to cover a cut, a Band-Aid will always come to your rescue. Always keep one or two.

Runway to Reality: NYFW Fall 2012

Runway to Reality

New York Fashion Week has come and gone, but the beautiful dresses that went down the runway left us all daydreaming still. Luckily for those girls who have formal events to attend <like prom for example> have perfect excuse for doing so. Alas! Daydreaming is all they’ll ever do unless money grows in their backyard trees.

While the average girl can’t afford high-profile designer duds, they still have within their reach a fabulous alternative: MissesDressy!

If you were paying close attention, you would notice that somber hues seemed to be the choice of colors during NYFW, but there were also few splashes of bold colors here and there which accompanied the reds, blacks, and silver metallic colors of the dresses that sashayed down the runways.

Diane von Furstenberg probably had the most brights in a collection. Among them were the simple strapless dress in teal and alluring red halter dress as seen on the pictures below along with their MissesDressy counterpart:

While Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2012 RTW collection sent dresses in bold hues down the runway, Hervé Léger by Max Azria, and Lela Rose both had a somber vibe in their collection. Nevertheless, it wasn’t all humdrum due to the interesting patterns and prints that were featured on the dresses.

Reem Acra seemed to have also gotten the memo to present somber hues in her collection, but there were also a few pieces that somehow strayed from the dark, depressing tones. Among them were these interestingly patterned metallic gowns:

Prom Inspiration: Chain Up!

Prom Inspiration - Chain Up

Inspiration can indeed come from anywhere. Just imagine how the designers get their inspirations from the iron chains! They have succeeded in providing fashionable and edgy accessories from head to toe that are ready to steal your heart.
Scroll down to check out this fabulous iron chains transformation.

Although iron chain is identical with heavy tools as you can see on the bike pedal, fence lock, and such, but this season the fashion industry makes iron chain become chic and glamour accessories.
You can also freshen up your style by adding accessories that inspired by iron chain. Ranging from bracelets, necklaces, and shoes to look more fabulous.
Oh, it looks like celebrities also have got the “chain virus“! ^_^

Diane Kruger – Jennifer Hudson – Stephanie Pratt’s flats looked edgy with thick strand of chain details on their ankles

Mila Kunis with her chain headband – Sarah Jessica Parker in her chain necklace – Jessica Alba in her chain bracelet

If you are not sure how to mix and match chain accessories into everyday style here are a few tips:

  • Pair the accessory with basic piece outfit and choose solid colors or neutral colors.
  • Select a jewelry in one color, like gold and add gemstone or pearl to soften the look of your chain jewelry.
  • Do NOT go overboard with this accessories. For petite girls, do not choose chain jewelries that are too big because we want to look stylish rather than competing with the rappers.

Here are some of edgy and stylish accessories you might like…

Prom Inspiration: 2012 Grammy Awards

Prom Inspiration - 2012 Grammy Awards

Some wore daring high slit dresses, some wore gorgeous bridal-like dresses, some wore quirky eye-catching dresses, and some stayed classic with long sleeve gowns. Crazier than usual, but you must scroll down to read the article below.

Long Sleeve

If the usual red carpet event filled with more revealing gowns, this year we saw many celebrities chose gowns with long sleeves. Melissa George chose a black leather gown, Katy Perry looked fabulous with blue hair and stunning in a pale blue gown, Fearne Cotton looked very elegant in a coral dress with black ribbon, Carrie Underwood wore sparkling sequins gown with open back detail, and Adele, who took home four Grammy, wore LBD with sparkle details and dazzling red lipstick. Simple, classic, and gorgeous!

Details All Over

Musicians are usually bold and expressive in their outfit selection. This year Taylor Swift, Kelly Osbourne, and Kelly Rowland chose gowns with pretty intricate details. Sequins, glitters, beads, and embroidery are such a timeless couple for evening gowns, these details will make every gown looks luxurious, elegant, and of course expensive.

How High Can You Go?

Part of the skirt has a new level of extreme and dangerously sexy. Rihanna in her deep V-neck, backless, with high slit black gown was so sexy. While Porcelain Black’s dress purposely showed off her undergarment. Musician geek, Cyndi Lauper, wore a tuxedo with messy hair-do, she looked edgy. Anne V, Victoria’s Secret model, chose LBD with an extremely high slit up to the waist. Lastly, with her hair shaved, Amber Rose looked confident in her yellow one-shoulder gown. MissesDressy.com surely has a lot of dangerously sexy dresses! Check out some of our collection..

Eye Catching

These four dresses certainly invited a lot of attention. Jessie J. looked so fabulous like a disco ball in her metallic gown. Fergie wore a bright orange dress with embroidery details, showed off her underwear . Corinne Bailey Rae wore an LBD with bunches of ruffles on the skirt. Lastly, Christina Ricci shined in a gold wrap dress.

Here Comes The Bride

White dress is very identical to the wedding dress, but these 6 beauties proved that the styling and the right accessories made their dresses looked very elegant and appropriate to be worn at red carpet events (or even Proms!).
Tilda Swinton wore a white dress that somehow looked like a cropped top and high-waisted maxi skirt. Shailene Woodley, a young actress who played the daughter of George Clooney in The Descendants, looked elegant in her white gown. Oh, guess what? This could be the best view of Paris Hilton on the red carpet! She wore a white gown with sheer details and embroidery, very elegant and stylish. Don’t you think Kristen Wiig looked angelic in a white strapless dress? Lastly, Kate Beckinsale looked so fresh and young with a mini one-shoulder dress.

So, which one is your favorite? Which gown would you wear to Prom? I’d love to hear from you!
