Hollywood’s been Twiggyfied! The short short hairstyle is best attributed with the iconic Ms. Twiggy. And, it seems that her influence transcends even the recent red carpet. Well, her style is quite charming and memorable, don’t you think? A few days after the 2012 VMAs, we here at MissesDressy.com still couldn’t get over the fierce and fab new trend in hair seen on the show’s red carpet: the 2012 version of the Twiggy haircut.
Mostly everybody made quite a big deal out of how the fearless fashionista Miley Cyrus sported an almost identical hairdo as the kick-ass stylista Pink. To us, copied or coincidence, it doesn’t matter. We believe that they both pulled-off the look and even rocked it. Their platinum blonde mo-hawks perfectly showcased their fun funky punk side.
They complemented their new locks with sleek, sheer, and sexy frocks (both floor-length and long-sleeved), light make-up with emphasis on the eyes, and dangling earrings.
But, the one we favor most on that red carpet is the courageous trendsetter Rhianna. She seems to have mastered the art of Twiggification, usually wowing with her unique short hairstyle.
And we love what she did to her hair that time at the VMAs. It’s very girly and light yet has a certain edge because of how short it is. She kept minimal with the hair color. She completed her look with a simple white dress, over-all looking so feminine and fresh.
Whether androgynous or pixie, the cool vibe that a short hair gives has infected a lot of lovely ladies in Hollywood. Check them out below (Michelle Williams, Anne Hathaway, Carey Mulligan, Emma Watson, Victoria Beckham, Natalie Portman, Ginnifer Goodwin).
