The color authority PANTONE®, has given green a nod as well. Its Spring 2013 Color Trend Forecast has a prevalence of green.

2013 Spring greens according to PANTONE® are:

Emerald: this lovely, radiant green brings sophistication and classiness
Grayed Jade: this subtle, hushed green with a gray undertone brings about a mood of quiet reflection
Tender Shoots: this vibrant, invigorating, active, and cheerful yellow-green is like the first sign of Spring

PANTONE® once again enlisted some renowned designers to interpret the hues. Here’s what they have to say:

Tracy Reese: “I am such a fan of color so when I design a collection, a great color palette is essential. It’s not my skin tone, but my color mood at the time that affects my color choices. The complement to all skin tones is great color! Women should not be afraid to wear a bold color. It makes you look and feel bright and happy!”

Peter Som: As a signature color, “Misty Jade — it’s a new pastel that has strength.”
