I’ve selected some plain mini dresses right for any occasion from a night out in town, cocktail party to wedding parties.  With plain dresses you can always use this chance to play around with accessories like add a necklace, earrings or some bracelets depending on the style of the dress.  But if you opt for a style like La Femme 16950 you wouldn’t want to pair the dress with a necklace because the strap is more near to your neck so instead you can choose a pair of earrings or some bracelets maybe.  Plain dresses with less details is sometimes a great idea because you know you can wear it again and not just once then leave it sitting in your wardrobe and not being able to wear it again.

It’s summer so opt for the bright colored dress, summer is the best time to play around with the bright colors like yellow, green, pink etc.  So why not shine during this gorgeous season, have fun at parties with your beautiful dress.  I’ve picked out a couple of bright colored dresses, short and maxi to give you an example of what MissesDressy has on our online store, don’t let these colors shock you.  Get a gorgeous tan this summer a week before the wedding party, cocktail party, whatever it is and throw on the dress, you’re sure to have a massive smile on your face as these bright colors will make you happy all day and it will make everyone around you smile too.  I think it’s quite important to at least get slightly tanned if you wear these colors because it will bring out the color in the dress more and make you look even slimmer too!

Chosen a dress but don’t know how to style it?  To give you hand I’ve created a few sets to hopefully start you off, so you can have a slight idea of how you might want to put your gorgeous outfit together.  It’s normal to see something beautiful, then you buy it but when you take it home you don’t have a clue what shoes, what accessories, what bag would look good with it.  I’m sometimes like that so most of the time I put on my centre piece and spend hours trying to figure out what I should pair it with, then I end up getting stressed out, my clothes are everywhere, shoes all over the floor and the whole room is a mess.  So I think it’s sometimes nice to have somebody to put together a few examples to show me what might look good with the main piece.  Having an image of the overall outfit before you start digging everything out from your wardrobe is very important!

Pastel colors is this Spring Summer’s key trend, you will see it all over the streets and on celebrities.  At MissesDressy we have lots of pastel color dresses to wear at a special occasion this season.  We have different colors, cuttings, necklines, sparkly and non-sparkly we have it all, take your pick!  With this tone of color, the accessories could be kept to a minimal or you could add a bit more depending on the design of the dress.  If the dress already has embroidery on it then maybe wear less jewelry, like a pretty bangle or bracelet, but if the dress is plain then you could add a little more jewelry, maybe something like a beautiful statement necklace or something similar.

Some tips to wear pastel colors:

• Add accessories with matching color to look more special. The size of accessories (necklaces, bangles, earrings) should be adjusted to the event (for formal events, wear small and dainty jewelry; whereas for parties, big bangles or statement necklaces are fine).

• Baby blue and mint green is very common. Mix baby blue or mint green with coral to look fresh, stylish, and add a punch to it.

• Want to look more edgy with pastel colors? Simply add a crop leather jacket and a studded bracelet.
