This one are for the kids!  When I was a kid myself, of course I loved dressing up I used to rage through my mum’s wardrobe, wear all her clothes and played around with it, looking back now it still makes me laugh, the fun times.  As an adult now, every time I see kidswear I’m always like that’s so cute, especially when I saw these gorgeous dresses from “Sugar by Mac Duggal” collection at MissesDressy.  If your kid loves playing dress up then they would definitely love this collection, it’s great for parties, wedding’s basically any special occasion you can think off.  Coming in all the cute colors it’s sure to keep your child happy, the cute tiny embellishments on the dress will make them feel even more like a princess.  Add a piece of hair accessory like a cute little tiara, and some jewelry to make them happy.  It’s just so good to be a child sometimes, when it comes to playing dress up and going to parties.

People’s Choice 2012 – Celeb Style

pc

It’s that time of year again when the paparazzi bulbs start flashing a red carpets all over get rolled out again – Awards Season! The first big event of the season is always the People’s Choice Awards – the ones where we, the regular fans, get to vote and choose who wins. the great things about the people’s Choice awards is that they are a slighly less formal affair than some of the shows that follow like the Golden Globes [this Sunday, stay tuned for all the Red Carpet looks!] and the Oscars. Celebrities get to have a little fun and show of the Street Style on the red carpet!

We’ve taken a few of the best looks from the red carpet and found a few options for you to steal the star’s style with MissesDressy!

First up, Miley Cyrus looked amazing in this white cocktail length dress with a sheer plunging neckline. the dress oozed sex appeal but in quite a demure way – my personal favorite loook of the night! get the look for yourself with this Jovani mini with sheer detailing on the chest or take the plunge with this La Femme mini.

Demi Lovato walked the red carpet in the prom-worthy peach, floor length gown with a gorgeous sweetheart neckline. She later performed and picked up an award in a right on trend hi-lo red dress too! if you are looking for prom inspiration – she is the one to watch! To snag her red carpet look, try this one shoulder gown from Night Moves by Allure or follow her lead and go strapless with this Jovani look for Prom.

Kristin Bell went with a less formal red look, with sheer paneling like Miley Cyrus. We love the A line shape and the detailing on the bodice too! To get her look, try this one shoulder look from Alyce with the sheer detaling on the chest and some bodice detailing for good measure! Or, stick with the conservative side of her look with this form fitting dress from Nue by Shani.

Speaking of right on trend with the Hi Lo look, Lucy Hale nailed it with this embellished black split length look. If we were ever in doubt that this trend was a good one, the case is now closed! Steal her look with this similar Hi Lo look form Evenings by Allure.

Ashley Greene went with a daring leather-esque and lace combo. I’m on the fence about this one, I think maybe the ruffling at the hem was just too much for me. But I like the style a lot and if you do to, you can get this great look from Atria.

Last but not least, Sharon Osbourne may have upstaged her daughter and her oddly grey hair on the red carpet in this fantastic floor length sequin gown! We are in awe of this look and shows what star power Mrs Osbourne has got! if you want to make that same statement – look no further than this amazing Mac Duggal gown.

For Girls with Shape! Cassandra Stone II & Allure Bridals Women

shape

For every body type, shape, and size finding the right dress is hard no matter what—size 0 or size 28— a woman’s body has a mind of its own and may not look good in everything. In the fashion world, sizes are classified with names like Petite, Juniors, and Plus-Size, so the word plus-size, yes is subjective, but it also classifies the sizes tailored specifically for beautiful busty and full-figured women. Plus-sized gowns and dresses are made specifically for accentuating curves and illuminating your vivacious beauty rather than covering it up or hiding your shape under layers of heavy fabrics.

Plus-size dresses don’t have to be shapeless, it’s better if they are more form fitting to your silhouette, so if you tend to always flock to an A-line, why not try a hip hugging, waist cinching empire gown like this Cassandra Stone II convertible strap gown from Mac Duggal? The convertible straps leave the neckline open showing off a bit of your sexy, bare shoulders. If you’re feeling uneasy about wearing a gown so form fitting (you really shouldn’t, though!), invest in a “body shaper.” Cassandra Stone II is from the hard working designers at Mac Duggal who are responsible for making this award winning line of plus-size gowns with a youthful flair and comfy fit.

What’s a body shaper?

A body shaper compresses and smooths out pesky belly rolls. The go to place for undergarments is the company Spanx. Spanx has a great body shaper that hides the look of the belly and back roll for a smoother, more contoured shape. The high-waisted body shaper from Spanx happens to give a very streamlined look and is perfect for formal wear and your everyday looks, so it’s price is definitely worth the investment.

High Waist Body Shaper by Spanx

 I need more options, please.

Perfect for any elegant social occasion, another amazing empire waist dress is from Cassandra Stone II collection that has a Grecian Goddess feel. The high empire waist will accentuate your chest and the skirt flows elegantly down to the floor without hugging your hips our thighs. The embellished waist-line gives this gown a fun, yet sophisticated feel.

For the bride-to-be, you don’t want to limit yourself to just traditional silhouettes. Make a statement in the Allure Bridals Women collection while wearing this intricately constructed wedding gown. The waist-line is  natural allowing the dress the form-fit beautifully around the hip area. As always, the sweetheart neckline gives this gown a romantic feel. The hugging skirt will define your booty and hips and will make your groom’s heart swoon. The fabric features ruching all over the gown for an added touch of sophistication and also helps with giving the dress more refined definition. The back of the dress is corseted for extra cinching, and the skirt flows elegantly to the floor into a darling and delicate train.

Another elegant choice is this gorgeous wedding gown from Allure Bridals Women that features cap sleeves and embellishments of rich crystals and rich chiffon. This dress just happens be the most purtiest dress that I have ever seen in a cap sleeve! The overlay of chiffon over the skirt is to die for and seems to also have been blessed by chic fairies with its dusting of delicate flower appliqués. The satin belt cinches at the natural waist for a more waist defining look and the belt and has a gorgeous brooch buckle.

A trending dress silhouette for 2012, especially your 2012 prom, is called the hi-lo dress. Check out this sassy little number by Cassandra Stone II shown in shown in a delicate mint hue, the one shoulder asymmetrical neckline is adorned with a cluster of rhinestones and sequins. Fabric ruching overlay of rich chiffon embodies the look of an elegant Hollywood starlet. The skirt hits above the knee, and the back of the skirt flows down into a flirty train.

If you’re more traditional and feel more comfortable in the A-line silhouette, the Cassandra Stone II and the Allure Bridals Women collection have an ample selection to choose from featuring forgiving and luxurious fabrics, vibrant colors and prints, and adornments and embellishments galore–all found on MissesDressy!
